When you start your SEO or inbound marketer career and WHY?
Dan Petrovic My interest in SEO started in 1999 as I wanted to get my music website ranking high. This seemed interesting and I continued optimising websites. The hobby very soon turned into a profession and I scored my first SEO job in 2001 on the Gold Coast. Three years later I started working in Brisbane and after working in two different agencies, finally deciding that I want to run my own company and do things my way.
What you believe why people select this World (SEO industry) and for which type of people this is best to grow?
SEO people are both technical and creative individuals, thirsty for knowledge and like to analyze everything. Analytical nature is in the heart of every SEO professional.
Can you please share some expert tips for on-page optimization and link building?
Dan Petrovic Technical On-Site Tip: If you have a website which serves content to different geographic and language regions it’s best to use rel=”alternate” hreflang=”x” to tell Google which locality and language page to serve to which user group. This prevents SEO problems and improves user experience.
Link Building Tip: If you have any brochures, presentations or other types of PDF material on your website ensure they have a link back to your pages. PDFs do pass link juice and are often linked to and shared by other webmasters.
Which one is your favorite in SEO world as a expert, and for beginners what names you recommend to follow?
Dan Petrovic It’s hard to single out any one SEO. Instead I will tell you which people I’ve recently interacted with and enjoyed their opinion, in no particular order:

Pedro Dias, Theory / Technical

TCs from Google’s Forums:
+ many others who I have probably forgotten. I recommend to jump on Google+ as there are lot of helpful people there and also those who produce great content.
Social or Search which one is your on first priority? Can you please briefly describe these two things why businesses need search engine optimization as well as social media optimization?
Dan Petrovic That’s like asking email marketing vs TV ads. Different marketing channels, but can be run in parallel as part of a larger campaigns to leverage and boost success.
Search engine optimisation is a technical and strategic element, in the middle (or the center?) is the content and on the other end is the social media which aids in distribution of well-optimized high quality content. Using both at the same time is not only smart, but also necessary.
In SEO the primary goal is to give business and business is directly proportional to targeted traffic, Can you please guide us how we increase targeted traffic so as business?
Dan Petrovic Everything start with research and analysis of your target audience. I recommend running thorough keyword analysis and understand what the most popular pages on your site are before furthering content strategy. Align this with your analytics data and focus on the phrases and type of content which ends up with goal conversions.
